Taekwondo

Taekwondo is a Korean martial art known for its aerial techniques, and when roughly translated means "The way of kicking and punching." Utilizing proprioception and advanced motor skills, Taekwondo is an excellent way to get into shape while learning self-protection. Taekwondo is a great way for kids and adults to exercise while learning self-defense and boosting their self-confidence. Taekwondo is also unique in that families can participate in a physical activity while learning together. With over 30 million people in over 156 countries practicing Taekwondo, it is the most popular martial art in the world.

Hapkido

Hapkido is a Korean martial art when roughly translated means "the way of blending energy." Hapkido combines the kicks and punches of Taekwondo and Karate, the falling and grappling techniques of Jujitsu and Aikido, and the wrestling techniques of Judo. Hapkido is, especially useful for women to learn and is extremely effective in close quarter situations, and is complimentary to the hard stylings of Taekwondo. Hapkido is integrated into the required adult Taekwondo curriculum in order to ensure a well-rounded martial arts experience.

Kumdo

Kumdo is the modern version of kendo as practiced in Korea. The name roughly translated means "the way of the sword," and became popular in Korea after independence from Japan was gained. Its origins arise from the traditional samurai swordsmanship, or kenjutsu. With slightly different stylings than the Japanese counterpart, Kumdo includes both forms and sparring competitions. Practitioners wear the traditional garb called "hakama" and spar using gear developed for Kumdo.
